Today is Shrove Tuesday, or Pancake Day as it’s often called in England, and people celebrate the day before the beginning of lent by using up fats eggs and flour to make pancakes.
In Galicia we also celebrate “martes de Carnaval” by making “filloas” which are very similar to pancakes, but are thinner.
People eat pancakes with different fillings and other prefer to eat them plain and simple…with nothing. How about you?

Today is European Safer Internet Day so remember to use your head when you use the internet and be safe. The Internet is a wonderful tool to access information and to communicate but you must know how to use it properly.

Never give out personal details on the Internet.
Don’t accept emails from people you don’t know.
Don’t meet people you only know from the Internet in person.
Don’t believe everything you read about people on the Internet.
