Today is the anniversary of the death of Pablo Picasso.

He was born in Malaga, Spain and he died on the 8th April, 1973. Pablo Picasso is one of the most famous Spaniards in the world. He revolutionized painting and sculpture and many of his works of art are instantly recognizable because of his original style.

When he was 10 years old Picasso came to A Coruña with his family and he lived here for five years. He went to the School of Art in A Coruña and he lived in a house in Payo Gómez Street, near the Plaza Pontevedra. This house has been restored and is now a museum that can be visited.
